Houndmaster My favorite album by these masters of medieval doom! Favorite track: Regicide.
Bucky
Bucky thumbnail
Bucky Elliott Keeps the thrashy/death metal controlled throughout, bringing the doom to the forefront. Vocals thrash in and out of moaning doom to deathly wails while throbbing in unison with the pulsating hypnotic drum blasts. Elliott's kept themselves isolated from the pack of typical stoner/doomsters by 'demon'strating a sort of Overkill meets Sabbath lovechild, and it slays. Favorite track: Convergence.
Frederick Squier
Frederick Squier thumbnail
Frederick Squier One of those albums that suck you in and immerse you in rich sound. Time passed very quickly and I was surprised when it was over. A very solid Doom sound with nice variations on the theme Favorite track: Gates Beyond.
Roland Don Doom
Roland Don Doom thumbnail
Roland Don Doom Kick-ass Doom Metal!!! Favorite track: Gates Beyond.
FDJ (Desert Psychlist)
FDJ (Desert Psychlist) thumbnail
FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Doom of the epic variety, shades of Candlemass , Solitude Aeturnus and Gates of Slumber in these grooves.
Fear not though Doomsters these guys are not just copyists they also bring their own twist on the genre to the altar table.Good stuff! Favorite track: Omen.
Anointing The Sick
Anointing The Sick thumbnail
Anointing The Sick Normally, I'd go for the uglier side of doom with a heavy dose of sludge on the side. I've been there and done that with the likes of CANDLEMASS years ago. However, occasionally an album comes out that grabs your immediate attention, and this is one such album. The guitar tone isn't as warm as,say, GALLOW GOD, instead there's something of a thrashy crunch to it. The more I listened to it, the more MERCYFUL FATE came to mind on certain tracks. Fortunately without KING DIAMOND like wailing.

Now Taken 06:02
NOW TAKEN A kiss that lingers in memory The sound of nothingness And smell of sunshine Unsustainable Deepest loss I am unable to bear And my control denied Grief-stricken, I acquiesce With consequence acknowledged The things that matter to me What I love defines me Eram quod es I was what you are The seduction of blasphemy And the sex of it all I cannot cry anymore But I remember our music Do you hear it now? Will you dance and sing? Or will our hearts both bleed black Forever Sin in sunlight You, now taken Damned, in defining instance Unremorseful Choice echoes for eternity I embrace the tragic Beauty damned to darkness Hell pulses through me The things that matter to me What I have done defines me Eris quod sum You will be what I am The seduction of blasphemy And the sex of it all My thoughts In conversation With the night The one never truly mine My conscious disregard My contempt And I betrayed love I betrayed your love Looking into your eyes Knowing forever Is of my choosing Eternal anguish And I am forever Unrepentant And I betrayed love I betrayed our love My sin Your fate Now you are damned And it matters not to me

Regicide 06:17
REGICIDE The bell tolls again as hope is Consumed by hopelessness From the streets of plague A chorus of windswept curses The kingmakers in shadows Communion of intrigue An implacable vanguard Patient, immutable will Regicide The kingslayer Begets your doom tonight Endeavor to kill the king Best kill the king Rites of politics and liturgy Chalice of retribution Blessed by the oracles Exacted in recompense Soulless assassin Sharpens and poisons his blade With measures of liquid courage Descends into dark thoroughfare Regicide The kingslayer Begets your doom tonight Now, your moment of reckoning You impotent coward Your power cannot save you You sadistic bastard I introduce you to suffering Delivering your judgment You gave no mercy Now, there is no mercy for you And the sword falls down

TALE OF GRIEF Túrin drove his blade to the hilt In the belly of the mighty Glaurung Falling, his flesh burned by blood Farewell O twice beloved A Túrin Turambar Turún’ ambartanen Master of doom By doom mastered O happy to be dead Dying, the dragon reveals his curse Nienor, daughter of Húrin, here is your brother In horror and anguish, she lept to her death Farewell O twice beloved A Túrin Turambar Turún’ ambartanen Master of doom By doom mastered O happy to be dead Stirred from darkness Túrin set the hilts upon the ground And cast himself upon the black blade Farewell O twice beloved A Túrin Turambar Turún’ ambartanen Master of doom By doom mastered O happy to be dead Upon his tombstone, the Haladin wrote in the Cirth of Doriath: TÚRIN TURAMBAR DAGNIR GLAURUNGA Beneath that, they also wrote: NIENOR NÍNIEL Though her body Could not be found

Convergence 04:24
CONVERGENCE Awakened To realities not my own Reflections of choice and consequence Alternate paths intersecting In a room of familiar strangers Draining bourbon as the melody plays Indescribable The meeting of oneself Over and over again Events and decisions that changed us all Now I reflect in affirmation And pain of deepest regret Curiositas Desiderium Convergence Contentus Concilio Convergence What is and What might have been Questions now answered Bittersweet This surreal encounter Impaling irony and perspective Once again this night We are intertwined My wounds rip open again Indescribable The meeting of oneself Over and over again There but for the grace of god There by his wrath I suffer And yet here I dwell Curiositas Desiderium Convergence Contentus Concilio Convergence What is and What might have been Questions now answered Drunken, I pass a mirror And catch my reflection I return to look deep into my own eyes And meet myself there

Omen 05:17
OMEN The sky is blood and flame The omen foretelling that all is changing again Ancient evil resounds Resonance of prior pain The ebon shadow falls far Sigils and ceremonies Ominous black skies Winds of change brutally cold My cup of grief overflowing and Tonight I cannot drink again Vita detrimentum Perditio amissio damnum Dolor morsus patientia Portent threatening and disquieting All is changing again Bleakest augury and divination All is changing again The omen foretelling that All is changing again Tidings delivered by demons This most disturbing unease As the crimson horizon menaces Fear and uncertainty burning Upon the death Of magic and religion Seasons change again In silent moments of Dread and lamentation Winds of change brutally cold My cup of grief overflowing and Tonight I cannot drink again Vita detrimentum Perditio amissio damnum Dolor morsus patientia Portent threatening and disquieting All is changing again Bleakest augury and divination All is changing again The omen foretelling that All is changing again And what brings tomorrow? And what more can I bear? So tired

Gates Beyond 04:02
GATES BEYOND Perhaps we were not meant To live so long The gates beyond Must be open tonight It is as it was Pain now abstracted Yet at these times You are with me Delusive visions I turn and see For one moment Quiet accedence Enduring memories Comfort beyond death

"... the new album is a CRUSHER!!! Good job lads ... You guys are true TROOPERS of metal!!"
John Perez - Solitude Aeturnus

"‘Nascentes Morimur’ is a triumph of tight, epic thrashy doom metal, delicately balanced halfway between Slayer and Solitude Aeturnus (the latter being an obvious comparison, as fellow Texans, but legitimate nevertheless). Elliott’s Keep have a sound and style that’s all their own; a Cerebral Fix for the 2010′s....‘Nascentes Morimur’ is a masterful effort that is sure to win a place in the hearts of all trad and epic doom fans."
Doom Metal Heaven

"Some metal isn’t doom, some doom isn’t metal, but Texas trio Elliott’s Keep play doom metal, and make no mistake."
"Interesting… quality doom … five-years on from their first record, Elliott’s Keep are able to bend their sound to their will. They’re the masters of their own fate."
theobelisk.net

"...they travel the trail out of Necropolis ... men wielding weapons forged by different style smiths. Black metals, death metals, doom metals are within grasp." " ... titan strong. It's built to last, which is notable in and of itself, and absolutely incongruous with modern trends." "It can follow the Solstices and lonely Aeturnuses, it can light the wick of the same emotions stirred by autumnal Leifs turning color."
